Stonebriar Shopping Center
If there is one thing that the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex is known for, its shopping malls. This Frisco mall shopping center has plenty of stores and restaurants like Michael Kors, LUSH, Microsoft, and the Cheesecake Factory. It also harbors the AMC Theatres with an IMAX branch, Dave & Busters, and a kid’s play area. Taking your family and children to Stonebriar is perfect for a weekend activity.

Museum of the American Railroad
This one is for the history buffs. Formerly known as the Age of Steam Railroad Museum, this historic place started as a small museum exhibit at the Texas State Fair in 1963. It didn’t become an official museum until 1986; however, it now features more than 70 pieces of steam, diesel, passenger, and freight railroad equipment.
Their guided tours are terrific, and you can experience their G Scale Model Train layout that opened in 2018 in the Frisco Discovery Center right next to the museum site.

Sci-Tech Discovery Center

This museum is an interactive experience focusing on science, math, and technology that serves 50,000 visitors every year. It first became an organization in 2004, but it opened its doors in 2010 with support from the City of Frisco Community Development Corporation and other individuals.
